1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, and profile photo (via Google or Apple Sign-In). We also collect deal preferences, saved deals, and shopping list items to personalise your experience. Device identifiers and push notification tokens may be collected to deliver deal alerts.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Dealstrike service, send deal notifications (if enabled), and maintain your saved deals and shopping list. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics may be used to improve the app.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is securely stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) in compliance with Google's security standards. Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth, which supports Google and Apple Sign-In. We apply industry-standard access controls and encryption in transit.
4. Affiliate Links & Commissions
Dealstrike uses affiliate links. When you click "Get This Deal," you may be redirected to a partner retailer's website, and NovaRetail LLC may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Commissions do not influence which deals we feature — our curation is always editorially independent.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and to remember your preferences (e.g. recently viewed deals, read notifications). We may use analytics tools to understand app usage in aggregate, non-identifiable ways. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.
6. Push Notifications
If you opt in to push notifications, we may send you alerts about new deals, price drops, and expiring offers. You can withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or from within the Dealstrike app.
7. Your Rights
You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page, which will permanently remove all personal data from our systems. You may also contact us to request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or report privacy concerns. Residents of certain jurisdictions (including the EU/EEA and California) may have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA.
8. Children's Privacy
Dealstrike is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Dealstrike after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
